Brintons are probably the oldest surviving carpet manufactory in Kidderminster.  It was a family business, and the factory buildings date from the 1770s,  and include a 500000 sq fit tapestry weaving shed.  At the end of the 19th century it  employed 600 people.  The factory closed in the 2000.  The Council wanted the buildings recorded and assessed prior to the re-development of the site.  John van Laun Associates were commissioned to do the work.
